The history of kilt begins at the end of the 16th century. Kilt is an item of traditional Scottish highland dress. It’s obvious, but what do men wear under their kilts? Would you like to buy a nice kilt? Let’s take a look…
Some of them wear underwear… (looking for cool underwear? Try Tommy Hilfger Men Underwear )

I just bought 2 kilts here in Seattle, and I am wearing one today at work. It is really cool! It is also comfortable, and looks great! I have had lots of possitive feedback on it. I hope more men, pardon the phrase, have more balls, to go buy one.

Aye, who cares if the lassies see your ballocks from time to time, does no good to wear drawers under your kilt. You might as well be wearing trousers like those sissy English fellows. A true Scots wears his kilt to the kirn and his tartan to battle.

Kilts aren’t the only “action.” The Romans brought bagpipes from Greece to Scotland, which long ago they named Caledonia.
In Greece the men wear the “fustanella” which can be seen in some National Geographic issues and all over the web.
It has more power in most ways than the kilt. Based on what? It’s frillier—yet still worn by men (look up “Evzones.”)
Scots aren’t the only ethnic men to wear a skirt and have never had any such exclusive position.

i THINK THE KILT IS MUNCH MORE A MANS WEAR, THEN TROUSERS. IT IS FAR MORE FASTER TO ENJOY A GOOD TIME AND NOT WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING. MEN WHO ARE PROUD OF WHO THEY ARE AND NOT INHIBITED HAVE MORE FREEDOM. ZIPPERS CAN HURT,EVEN INJURE A MAN PRIDE AND JOY. KILTS GIVES YOU MANLY FREEDOM.

Kilts give men more freedom of movement and no zippers. Men who are uninhibited and have pride in themselves and who wear Kilts are the very same men I look to being a role model for all men.Kilts have no zippers and therefore do not injure your best friend.

I wear a black denim kilt. I wore it recently during the weekend in glasgow. I was advised by a friend who is scottish to either wear nothing, “black” briefs or a “black” thong. Definately “not” boxer shorts – which i used to do – or y fronts. If a woman does stick a hand up there you will both get a nice suprise if wearing nothing. A slight disappointment if wearing briefs. If wearing a thong they will normally stop when the feel what they believe is naked flesh, ie. your buttock or the top of your thigh.

The problem is that pants (whether boxers or briefs) can make you sweat under a kilt and yet by not wearing anything, you get rubbed in your playstation which can be annoying if you are circumcised and also the kilt tends to get caught in the cheeks of your bum. Its also not a practical item for driving in.

I wear the kilt as often as possible although I live south of the border, I used to work in the Highlands as a chef and would wear a kilt more or less every day. While working I always wore a black jock strap but when out socially never wore any underwear at all. I like to walk on the coast here in East Anglia and usually go “regimental” unless the weather is very windy. The feeling of walking on the beach in a kilt with no underwear is wonderful

I wore a kilt for three days in Scotland and nobody tuurned a hair. The only person who did was the woman who sat in her car laughing as I struggled to hold my lightweight kilt down as a strong breeze had got up. Later she smiled at me so she must have seen I was traditional.
The next day I wore a heavyweight kilt, and I struggled to keep it up. The kilt that was.

True Scottish men don’t wear anything under their kilts.. be it a windy day or a sunny day. But I’d say be practical; if its winter its not wise to freeze your d*ck off, you’re gonna need it later.
Ooh, I can’t wait to go to Scotland. I wanna see some hot traditional kilt-wearing Scots.

Okay, I admit, it’s a bit disturbing when wind crosses them and you see their junk, but what with everyone else is saying, I guess it means you’re a “true Scotsman” but boxers would be nice. Unless the situation where one is inside, and not outside, all day, and there’s no way that kilt of theirs can lift up, then I guess no-one knows that you’re nude under and what matters is that you look spiffy on the outside.

I only wear underwear when playing with my Granddaughter. Otherwise I’m regimental.
Never had an issue to date. I do have kilt pins on my kilt to prevent most opportunities for an issue in the wind.
Utilikilts and heavy wool kilts hang very well without issue. The Sportkilt is a bit lighter and flightier.

As a Scot born and bred I can say that a true Scot doesn’t wear anything under the kilt. That’s the freedom it gives you. Plus the ventilation must be healthy. There are times when the ladies might get a flash but I’m sure they enjoy it.

I’ve been wearin kilts all my life and am a firm believer that men everywhere should give them a try, Scottish or not. I agree with the majority above that the unique (and frisky) feeling that comes from wearing a kilt is in the freedom it allows for a man. When I wear jeans I wouldn’t think of going without briefs and have my tackle showing for everyone to see… and I definitely wouldn’t get away with that in my dress pants at work. But when I’m wearing a kilt, it’s anybody’s guess what I have on underneath and that, I’m told, is what makes it sexy.
Having said that, there are plenty of times when I need to wear a supporter, (although I never admit to it if I’m asked in person). In those cases, I always wear a black thong. I learned that lesson about 10 years ago when I saw a video of me on the dancefloor at a wedding. When the front of my kilt billowed up, it revealed everything underneath and there for all the world to see, was the Pride of Scotland packed into jiggling white bikini briefs. I might as well have been wearing panties. Truly mortifying. Not that anyone saw it there the dancefloor, but the video has made the rounds… many times… and it seems my mates will never let me forget it. In fact, it’s been forever dubbed the “Scottish snake-smuggler moment”. Yeah, not fun.

Hello!
Kilts are beautiful to look at and must be comfortable to have them on too, but I wonder don’t men who wear them feel cold especially in a country such as Scotland as they have nothing under them? Besides, when unexpected things happen such as strong wind, when unmindful on how they sit, etc., their butts and… you know what I mean, are revealed. It’s rather ‘risky’, isn’t it? Well, if men like it that way, then go right ahead.
I’ve seen loads of photos of men in kilts: with the Queen of England, in sports, in official government ceremonies and some of them have their butts and their… are fully visible for many to see children included.
