Gardens made of stone and sand


When we are thinking about gardens there is one image in our mind: lots of trees, flowers, flowers, flowers, some vegetables and garden buildings in the corner. Or perhaps with only one summer house and a grass but must be GREEN! But there are also gardens so different than those from our imagination. These are Japanese Zen Gardens, so pure, simple and peaceful, they are sometimes called ‘ Dry Landscape Gardens’ cause flowers and water don’t play a great role in it. More important are sand and stone – green elements are only part of the chaos, while stone and sand belong to peace. Look on the pictures below and let yourself be amazed by those beautiful dry gardens!

First sketchpad ever – 1963

Amazing oldschool sketchpad. In 1963 Ivan Sutherland, an American computer scientist and Internet pioneer, created first sketchpad with a few innovative function. I didn’t know that this device is so old.
